I couldn't play that far since I don't have anyone else to play with and coordinating different actions between my two hands is not possible!

Seems pretty interesting, and the raccoons are cute. I had no idea which keys did anything, though. I had to hit every key to find out which keys move each character (not too difficult), and then again to find out that "space" is the action key for one of them and "shift" is the action key for the other. Might be worthwhile to have some indication of the keys somehwere.

Thanks so much, I have added something to show the controls in the pause menu now. I also made it a little easier to get past the first level by yourself, that's where I have trouble.

That was pretty confusing. Once you get to a certain part, you just turn into a red dot, and you're supposed to use the arrow keys, but there's no indication of that at all. I kept clicking around for a couple minutes trying to find out what I was supposed to do before I pressed an arrow on a whim. Some sort of a sign of that would be nice. And that part just requires you to walk down two hallways with no obstacles at all, so it might as well just not be there. I could understand if this is just a quick prototype to test some different concepts, but it definitely needs some more work.

Thanks for the response, this is my first game so when or if I make another I'll take your criticism to heart.

Does it only work on a certain browser? I tried firefox and safari and got nothing but a white screen.

EDIT: Yup, you're right, it does work at the link you gave. Still getting a white screen on newgrounds, though. Anyway, that's a pretty good Sonic clone. The controls and physics feel pretty close to the actual 16-bit games!

This flash definitely works. Try the link in the description AKA

I'm running a Mac with safari, and all I see is a black screen after loading. I know I made a small game with Godot, and I wasn't able to play it in safari without disabling the "prevent cross-site tracking" setting. I wonder if a similar issue occurs with Game Maker.

Edit:
Opened the page with firefox, and it works great. Good game. I hate having to switch between the mouse and the arrow keys, though.

HealliesGames responds:

I have no experience with Apple devices, nor with Safari browser.
I don't know what solution to suggest, maybe it's just Safari?

EDIT: I'm glad you solved it! Thank you for the feedback, WolDstn!
